The First Step

People so often think that in an initial consultation a remodeling company is going to try to change everything about your kitchen, and in turn that thought can be very intimidating to a lot of folks.  We are here to tell you that it is quite the opposite.  Our first consultation is not about tearing down what's wrong with your kitchen and telling you how it should be.  Instead, it's about listening to our client.  We ask a lot of questions and listen to their answers.  We feel that this is the first, and most crucial step, in creating the perfect space for our clients.

In this particular case, when we sat down and discussed their kitchen remodeling project, we discovered that they really didn't hate their kitchen at all.  Their three most important factors for their new space?
  • A new updated look
  • Keep the existing cabinet footprint
  • More countertop space
To achieve these three main objectives we proposed:
  • Light toned cherry cabinetry, solid surface countertops, stainless steel sink, stainless finish faucet, oil rubbed bronze decorative hardware, light toned tile backsplash with copper accents and new stainless appliances.  We also recommended removing the soffits to give the space an updated look.
  • Maintaining the same footprint
  • Moving the sink from the peninsula to a new location and replacing the double oven/cooktop to a free standing range with an above range microwave
The next step after coming up with a plan?  Start digging into the project!  First, we'll need to show you what it looked like before the remodel.
